Safety Nets

While attending an art workshop on the island of Skopelos, Greece, I collected pieces of blue fishing nets washed up on the beaches. Back home, I used my press, the nets and the Greek blue and white palette to create a series of monotypes. The way the nets embossed the damp printing paper when run through the press was an unexpected thrill!
